Dan Y Coed School Receives a Special Visit from the Swansea Bay Health Board Community Midwives

As part of their spring term topic, People Who Help Us, the pupils of Dan Y Coed School received a special visit on Monday from amazing Swansea Bay Health Board Community Midwives, Lizzie and Jo!Throughout the term, pupils have been studying a variety of professions as part of their 'People Who Help Us' topic. From Teachers and Technicians to Police Officers and Coastguards, the pupils have learnt all about various vital occupations and have developed a strong appreciation for their work!During the visit, Lizzie and Jo conducted a brilliant interactive learning session to educate the pupils about childbirth. The session included everyone getting involved in weighing baby dolls, measuring blood pressure and listening to heartbeats. A big thank you to Lizzie and Jo for stopping by Dan Y Coed and for leading a fun and informative afternoon for our pupils and staff!
