Summergil's HJ Completes Wildlife Projects

As part of his outdoor learning curriculum, Summergil’s HJ has been busy on the school grounds recently, completing a variety of wildlife projects.

For his first project, HJ made some delicious squirrel snacks for his woodland buddies. Stocked with pine cones gathered from nearby woods, he generously coated them with peanut butter, delighting the Summergil squirrels with their favourite treats.

Next on the agenda was a woodland-inspired art project. HJ worked alongside his support team to blend black activated charcoal food-grade powder with cooking oil to capture the footprints of diverse woodland creatures on a canvas placed near the school.

Ensuring no moment went unnoticed, HJ carefully positioned a motion-sensor camera to capture glimpses of the animals stopping by for a snack.
