Ty Bronllys School Commemorates Remembrance Day
To commemorate Remembrance Day this year, pupils at Ty Bronllys worked alongside Talgarth Local Council to create a number of artworks for the town's Remembrance Day service.
Class One came together to create a beautiful handprint wreath, which was placed at the Talgarth war memorial.
Meanwhile, Class Two developed a poppy wreath displaying various types of poppies. Included in the stunning wreath was the purple poppy, which represented the animals that served, and the rainbow poppies, which signify the diversity of people who served throughout the war.
It was an honour to see the fantastic pieces of art displayed in the Talgarth Community Hall, where the Mayor of Talgarth, local veterans and current serving members came to appreciate the fine work of all pupils.
A massive thank you to Ty Bronllys LSA, Shannon Reeves, who liaised with the local community and organised Ty Bronllys’ participation at the service.
